Wolves in Oregon

Canis Lupus Technical Research

In 2014, I sought to compile all the peer-reviewed scientific research I could about wolf re-introduction, minimum population viability, and whatever else I could find to build a resource collection for advocates arguing for better wolf policy in Oregon and the west.

In this project, I close read the public rhetoric of the wolf debate in Oregon and connect it to a greater tide of nationalist xenophobia.  I trace the history of wildlife management agencies in the United States and find a parallel with wolf eradication and the establishment of institutionalized racism.
